All documents created are automatically saved together with the required attributes for later retrieval. The documents are organized in a highly structured manner conforming to the special requirements of the contracts/procurement discipline. Contiki ECM contains an integral document management facility that ensures control of establishing files, storage of files, distribution (including via the intranet) and access to such files. The structure is customizable to each client allowing each system administrator to define the structure so that all users operate uniformly.

Contiki supports audit trails on all relevant fields in the database to be able to trace what has changed, when and who made
the change. The contract creation and subsequent modifications will take place using workflows that leave traces in the Workflow
Monitor for analyses and audits.
