Contract repository & document management

Contiki will intelligently generate and assemble documents by means of a wizard-based user-interface that guides users through the processes of putting together templates and typical contracts.

The first version of Contiki ECM was launched in 1992 to handle the control and distribution of contract templates. The control and distribution of templates are still significant functions of the system.

Based on feedback from clients and prospects, contiki is the system that has the strongest support for document management within the contract discipline.

The system controls templates of any nature and as such it provides the best starting point for any document to be produced. It also stores all governing procedures, assessment templates (pre-qualification, evaluation and contractor performance) and process templates.

 Contiki supports the following repositories:

• Models

• Templates

• Clauses

All repositories have proper version control systems that ensure only authorized personnel can update the content. (Note: A paragraph or a text element that forms part of a template is called a clause, and as a component it can be used in many contexts. Sections of a contract, letters, faxes, etc., are called templates. A standard comprising multiple templates in their defined sequence is called a model).

Contiki ECM has developed its own contract functionality in Word, which increases the efficiency of making contract documents.
When implementing the system, Contiki ECM creates templates with defined search marks. These marks will be replaced with contract information from the Contiki ECM registry by clicking one button.

The Contiki Contract Configurator is a self-service contract composer - enabling users to create quality contracts from standardized clauses, and supporting the creation of templates and contract documents from standardized clauses. In addition it allows existing templates or contracts to be split into clauses and places tags in these to enable automated generation of documents by means of wizard functions.
Contiki will intelligently generate and assemble documents by means of a wizard-based user-interface, guiding users through the processes of putting together templates and typical contracts.

Primary users will be the legal specialists producing templates and contract professionals producing contracts. Access to the application is controlled by the access control list, which makes certain that only authorized personnel create contracts and templates from scratch using the Contract Configurator.
