Generally applicable processes are available “out of the box” as part of the delivery while others can be customized to fit
each client’s needs during set-up and implementation.
Processes may be adjusted at any time to reflect organizational changes and changing roles. Any changes made to such processes
will immediately re-program the system accordingly.
Swim lanes organize and present the different roles involved in workflows:
- Allocated tasks are those within the swim lane
- Reallocating tasks, for example to adapt to organizational changes, can be done by using the visual workflow designer (enabling “drag and drop” within the graphic elements).
The security settings follow the organizational hierarchy and are governed by two main principles:
- Role- and context-based access (workflow step-based)
- User- and user-group-based access (hierarchy-based)
During configuration of the system, the default settings are determined and implemented.
The workflow capabilities in Contiki consist of:
Contiki Designer – Enables companies to build their own contract processes quickly and successfully. The Contiki Workflow
Designer allows you to design your own workflow or use the predefined processes to tailor your contract process. The Contiki
Workflow Designer gives the client the ability to visually design its workflows related to contract management processes.
Contiki Executor – The Contiki Workflow Executor supports an environment for tasks defined with the help of Contiki Workflow Designer. The Designer is tightly integrated with the Executor, which enables defined processes to be carried out. The Contiki Workflow Executor handles task scheduling, task management, execution and activity logging.
Contiki Monitor – Enables measurement of business performance throughout the entire organization. The Contiki Workflow Monitor provides detailed performance reports and is the source for Key Performance Indicators in any organization. It allows contract process information to be monitored, thereby enabling identification of bottlenecks.
Contiki Notification – Advanced notification to suppliers, managers, employees and other roles. Predefined and user-defined
rules determine who will receive messages, contracts, documents and reports.
The functionality is quite extensive making it possible to define a number of decision criteria to enable routing, escalation
procedures, etc.
